You may not see any Partridges in Pear trees on his walk but you never know. He is hoping to do a Dickensian Christmas walk but at time of writing details were not known. Tuesday 4th December
You might see 12 Drummers drumming, or 11 Pipers piping. Maybe not the 10 lords a leaping but there may be 9 Ladies dancing at Michelle’s music night at ‘The Good Yarn’ pub in Uxbridge, High Street. Meet at 8pm. Contact Michelle Nearest Tube Uxbridge, Met and Piccadilly Lines and local buses.
Wednesday 5th December
It certainly won’t be a Silent Night at James’ pub evening. Who knows by the end of the night you may hear “Sleigh Bells Ringing” (or is that the drink!). Raise the roof of the Royal Albert Hall by joining Sue. She will be getting into the Christmas spirit with a Christmas Carol Sing-a-long. All your favourite carols accompanied by the London Concert chorus and the London Concert Orchestra. Tickets will be in the region of £20 to £30 depending on how many members attend and availability. Sunday 30th December
Do you know why Monks Risborough is called Monks Risborough? Carol and Darren do as they will be walking around it today, Lacey Green o’ Saunderton to be exact, they will be meeting at West Ruislip Station at 11am for a 6 mile walk. Don’t worry there are plenty of pubs along the way. It is essential that you bring good walking shoes and sensible water proofing for this time of year. Please call Carol and Darren to let them know you are coming.
Monday 31st December
Well you have been warned it’s Carol and Darren’s New Year’s Eve Party. If you have your tickets you will be able to enjoy a full disco until 2am playing a great blast of the past music and some cracking up to the minute music along with a full buffet for only £5.00. The venue is the ever popular and beautiful ‘Waters Edge’ Pub previously known as the ‘Turning Point’ at Canal Cottages, Packet Boat Lane, Cowley, UB3 2JS. If you haven’t then don’t despair as there maybe tickets on the night by calling ‘Waters Edge’ is a short bus ride on the 222 which runs all night from Uxbridge.
