We have a monthly programme of events to choose from of which you can receive by email or post and the nearest stations and bus routes are mentioned on the programme.

The advantage of the Harrow Coffee Pot is that it is a non-profit making organisation run by the members themselves.  As such, Harrow Coffee Pot makes it possible for each member to join in and arrange events and also in time even become a committee member.

The Harrow Coffee Pot have all sorts of events to choose from and you can also hold your own event, this means you get to share the things you enjoy doing with other members.

You may have recently moved to the area and wish to find friends of a similar age locally to go out with. Or you may just want to enjoy exploring different activities and places to go in the good company of others with similar interests.

Alternatively, you may be someone who has a very busy work life but who wants to find an easy way to meet others and try out new activities that will be flexible with your lifestyle.

Whatever your motivation, Harrow Coffee Pot is a great way to go out and socialise in a safe environment.

Finally, you might consider yourself to be a very active, friendly and outgoing person, however, due to the constraints of money, time or lack of transport do not always find you have the opportunity to go out as much as you would like to.

Joining process

When a prospective member applies for membership, their application is discussed at the first committee meeting after application.  The whole committee then decides whether or not to accept the member into the club and the decision is based primarily on 3 criteria;

  • That the member has attended several events so that they know     whether the club is right for them.
  • That the member has met enough of the committee for us to know whether they are right for the club.
  • That no comments of anti- social behaviour have been received.

Once the committee has made their decision, a letter of acceptance (or refusal) is sent to the member welcoming them to the club along with a copy of the clubs constitution and the current months programme.  Very seldom is membership refused unless the above criteria are not met;

However, the committee reserves the right to refuse a membership application without giving a reason.
