Some members feel concerned about holding an event in their own home. Harrow Coffee Pot understands these concerns and wishes that every member to feel happy about putting on an event in their own home. Firstly, there is no pressure to put on a home event, it is purely your decision. Secondly, you are able to make an event bookable, this way you can know who will be coming beforehand. Thirdly, if you have made the event bookable and you feel uncomfortable with a certain member of the club, you are able to refuse that member when they call to book in to your event - you do not have to give a reason for refusal. Finally, all home events during the week are expected to finish by 11pm and members are requested to leave by this time. You can ask any club member to stay behind at the event until everyone has left, thereby ensuring that you will not be left alone with any other member of the club. At any time, you can contact a member of the committee, which is a mixture of male and female members, to discuss any concerns.
