Harrow Coffee Pot

About Us

This page will hopefully give you an insight into Harrow Coffee pot.

Firstly a little history

Harrow Coffee Pot was formed in 1962,  joining other Coffee Pot clubs throughout the country which had been starting up since 1954.

Who are we

We are a lively and easy-going group of people in our 20s, 30s, 40s.

You may have recently moved to the area and wish to find friends of a similar age locally to go out with. Or you may just want to enjoy exploring different activities and places to go in the good company of others with similar interests.

Alternatively, you may be someone who has a very busy work life but who wants to find an easy way to meet others and try out new activities that will be flexible with your lifestyle.

Whatever your motivation, Harrow Coffee Pot is a great way to go out and socialise in a safe environment.

Finally, you might consider yourself to be a very active, friendly and outgoing person, however, due to the constraints of money, time or lack of transport do not always find you have the opportunity to go out as much as you would like to.

The advantage of Harrow Coffee Pot is that it is a non-profit making organisation run by the members themselves. As such, Harrow Coffee Pot makes it possible for each member to have an active and varied social life without the obligatory expense associated with frequent socialising.

We have a daily programme of events to choose from and nearest stations and bus routes are mentioned on the programme.

Harrow Coffee Pot has an elected committee who look after the interests of the club, they are elected in by members at our Annual General Meeting and dance which is  held in February.

Our Committee consists of the following posts.

Chairperson/Vice Chair/Secretary/Treasurer/Membership Secretary/Programme Editor

Programme coordinator/Publicity Officers x 2/Web Editor.

" I like the thought that if I am at a loose end I can pick up my programme and see what is going on that day as there is usually something going on most evenings and weekends"
